The 37-year-old returns to the Skydome where he captained the team to seven trophies in a five-year spell having signed from Nottingham Panthers, including the Grand Slam in 2004/05.
Tait led Blaze to the British National League title and play-off double in his first season in 2002/03 and then scored the game-winning goal in overtime to secure a 2-1 play-off final victory over Nottingham Panthers which clinched the Elite League Grand Slam two years later.
Another league title and Challenge Cup success followed in 2006/07 before Tait went on to join Sheffield Steelers, enjoying five successful years in south Yorkshire – winning the league and play-offs twice - either side of a year in Italy.
Tait has posted 515 points (190 goals and 325 assists) in 487 Elite League regular-season and play-off games as well as picking up numerous individual awards during an illustrious career which has also seen him be a regular in the Great Britian side since 1995.
