Dundee CCS Stars are pleased to confirm the signing of talented American centre Nico Sacchetti for the 2013/14 Elite Ice Hockey League season.
Sacchetti joins the Stars after a playoff winning year with Dutch side HYS The Hague where he finished the season 7th overall with 59 points (27+32) from 37 regular season games and 14 points (6+8) from just 6 post season games.
In 2008 Sacchetti started his college playing career at the University of Minnesota and was in the NCAA (WCHA) All-Academic Team 3 years in a row, 2009/10, 2010/11 and 2011/12.
Prior to University, he was a USHL Clark Cup Champion with the Omaha Lancers. The USHL, United States Hockey League, is the top junior ice hockey league in the United States.
In 2007 the youngster won a Bronze Medal with the Under 19 USA side at the World Junior A Challenge.
He was drafted by the Dallas Stars in round 2 and #50 overall.
