Adam Keefe picks up 3 game ban for checking to head.

Stena Line Belfast Giants Captain Adam Keefe has been suspended for three games by the Elite League disciplinary committee. During Friday’s home game against the Dundee Stars, Keefe was assessed a 2+10 minute misconduct for a Check to the Head by Referee Dean Smith and this penalty has been upgraded to a Match Penalty and carries a 3 game suspension.
Adam Keefe will now miss the Stena Line Belfast Giants home Challenge Cup game on Saturday 21st September against the Braehead Clan as well as the two away games on Saturday 28th September and Sunday 29th September against the Nottingham Panthers and Hull Stingrays respectively. Keefe will return to the line-up on Saturday 5th October when the Giants travel to Wales to face the Cardiff Devils.
